The Art of Companionship

Features for companions

Everything The Art of Companionship offers you as a companion, from signing up to your daily bookings, on one page.

Signing up and getting started

  • Your own account. You create your own account, then fill in your profile at your own pace.

  • Approval. The team reviews your sign-up. Once you're approved, your profile goes online and you get an email to let you know.

  • Preview. Even before approval, you can see how your profile will look. Only you and the team can open this preview.

  • Help completing your profile. Your profile page shows how complete your profile is, and your dashboard tells you what's still missing for you to be found.

  • Free trial. New companions automatically start with a free trial on the entry tier. It runs from the moment you sign up, so it's already running before approval.

Your profile

  • Name, tagline and description. Your tagline of up to 80 characters appears under your name and on your profile card on the search page and the homepage. In your description, you say who you are in your own words.

  • Profile details. Fill in details such as languages, nationality, appearance, way of working and booking type. Visitors see the fixed options in their own language, and your details determine which search filters you appear under. You give explicit consent once before publication.

  • Your own values. For languages, you can add your own values alongside the fixed options. These automatically become filter options too.

  • Age without date of birth. You enter your date of birth, but your profile only shows your age based on your year of birth or, if you choose, a range such as 20–29. Only you and the team can see the date itself.

  • Regions. Choose the regions where you work. How many you can have depends on your subscription.

  • Links. Add your website and your accounts on Instagram, X, Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, TikTok, Bluesky, OnlyFans, Fansly, Reddit and Snapchat to your profile, plus up to three links of your own with a label you choose. Links are visible to everyone. So if you enter your WhatsApp, that number is public.

  • Badges. For the first 30 days after your approval, your profile shows the “New” badge. If you choose independent as your way of working, your profile shows the “Independent” badge.

Photos

  • Profile photo and presentation photo. Your round profile photo and your wide presentation photo appear at the top of your profile. The search page shows both on your card, and other pages show one of the two.

  • Gallery and selfies. Upload several photos at once, add captions and set the order.

  • Restricted 18+ gallery. Only logged-in users can see these photos. Other visitors see how many photos it contains and a button to log in.

  • Photos on mouse-over. When a visitor moves their mouse over your profile card, the photo cycles through your first four gallery photos.

  • Automatic processing. Every upload is turned the right way up, scaled down to a maximum of 2000 pixels and stripped of metadata such as GPS location.

  • Formats and quantities. You can upload JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB per photo. How many photos of each type you can post depends on your subscription.

Rates

  • Your own rate options. You set the duration and price of each option yourself, and as you fill them in you can see how the list will appear on your profile.

  • Clear for clients. When booking, clients choose one of your options, and the price is recorded with the request.

  • Long appointments. Options of 8 hours or more, such as an overnight stay or a weekend, may run longer than your available time block. If such an option doesn't fit in the block, it starts at the beginning of the block.

  • Findable from your first option. Once your profile is approved, you appear in the search results from your first saved rate option, and the “Book now” button appears. Clients can only choose a time once you've also set up your calendar.

Calendar

  • Weekly schedule. Set one or more time blocks for each day of the week.

  • Exceptions. Set a date to closed, or to extra open with your own times. Those times replace your weekly schedule on that day. Clients can't see your note.

  • Bookable times calculated automatically. The platform uses your schedule, exceptions and appointments to work out which start times clients see, up to 30 days ahead.

  • No double bookings. A request holds the time slot straight away, even before you've confirmed.

  • No last-minute requests. Clients can't choose a time that starts too soon.

  • Upcoming appointments. Your next appointments appear at the top of your calendar.

Bookings

  • Requests. For each request, you see the date, start time, price and any message from the client. You also get an email about it, which includes the duration, and a push notification if you turn those on.

  • You decide. You confirm or decline, and the client is notified automatically. You can still cancel a confirmed booking up to the start time.

  • Cancellation by the client. A client can also cancel up to the start time. You then get an email and, if you turn those on, a push notification, and the time slot becomes available again.

  • Overview. Requests, upcoming bookings and all bookings are on separate tabs.

  • Reminder. In the 24 hours before a confirmed appointment, you and the client get a reminder email.

  • Automatic handling. If a request still hasn't been confirmed about two hours before the start, it is cancelled and you are both notified. A confirmed appointment that you don't wrap up yourself is automatically set to completed 12 hours after it ends. After that, you can no longer report that the client didn't show up.

  • Wrapping up. After the start time, you mark an appointment as completed or as a no-show.

  • Payment. Payments for appointments don't go through the platform. You arrange them directly with the client. The platform charges no commission per booking.

Contact with clients

  • Chat. Clients message you from your profile, and you can start a conversation yourself from a booking.

  • Confirmed mobile number. Requests and chats only come from logged-in clients, who have confirmed their mobile number by text message.

  • Client details. On a booking and in the chat, you see the client's name and email address, and their phone number unless they have hidden it.

  • Your details out of sight. Your email address and mobile number are not on your profile and are not shown to clients. Contact goes through the chat and your bookings, unless you add links such as WhatsApp or Telegram to your profile yourself.

  • One inbox. Messages from clients and colleagues, channels and support are all in one place, with separate tabs for clients and colleagues.

  • Notifications. You get an email when a client or colleague sends you a new message, and no second one as long as you haven't read the first. You turn push notifications on or off per device, in browsers that support them. This is not currently possible on an iPhone or iPad.

  • What clients say. Clients you have been in contact with can switch on friendly tags that appear on your profile. Clients can't give you stars.

  • Reviews about clients. Write a review about a client you have been in contact with, and, on a request or in the chat, read what colleagues wrote about that client. You can edit or delete your own review later.

Getting found

  • Search page. Your profile appears there as a card with your photo, name, tagline and regions. Clients filter by region, country and profile details, and search for words from your name and description.

  • Region pages. Each region has its own page. The regions you choose determine which region pages you can appear on.

  • Homepage. The newest profiles appear on the homepage.

  • Similar profiles. Your profile can appear below profiles that resemble it, based on regions and profile details.

  • Favourites. Logged-in clients save your profile with a heart.

  • Your own web address. Your profile gets a readable address with your name and, if you choose a region before your approval, one of your regions. As long as your profile is online, that address stays the same.

  • Search engines. Your profile automatically gets its own title, description and sharing image, and is listed in the sitemap.

  • Search combinations. Commonly used filter combinations automatically become pages of their own. You appear on them if your profile matches the filters.

  • Four languages. The site works in Dutch, English, German and Spanish. On the public pages, buttons, region names and fixed options are translated. Your own texts stay as you write them. A few screens in your dashboard, such as photo management, are still in Dutch.

Statistics

  • Profile views. You see your views for today, the last 30 days and in total, with a chart per day.

  • Most popular photos. For each photo, you see how often visitors open it in the gallery.

  • Requests and conversations. You see the number of requests in the last 30 days and in total, and your new conversations in the last 30 days.

  • No noise. Your own views while logged in, views by administrators and views by recognisable bots don't count.

Your own website and socials

  • Calendar widget. Show your availability on your own website. You choose the colours and the language, see a preview straight away and copy the code. Visitors click through to your profile to book. The widget works as soon as your profile is online.

  • Banners & logo. Download banners and logos in a light and a dark version, in two sizes.

  • HTML code. Copy ready-made code for your website. The banner then links to your own profile.

  • Sharing your profile link. When you share your profile link, it carries its own title, description and image. Whether these are shown depends on the platform you share on.

Duo profiles

  • Presenting together. With another companion, you create a duo profile with its own address, name, description and shared photo gallery.

  • Invitations. You choose a colleague, who then gets an email. The duo only exists once they accept, and it then also appears on both your own profiles. Either of you can end it at any time, and you can form a duo with more than one partner.

  • Booking per companion. Clients always book one of you individually.

  • Requirement. At least one of you has a subscription that includes duo profiles. Read how duo profiles work.

Subscriptions

  • You choose. After logging in, your subscription page shows the subscriptions with their prices and benefits, and you choose one yourself. You pay by invoice within the payment term. If you choose a different subscription during your trial, the trial ends immediately.

  • More photos and regions. Each subscription has its own maximum for photos per type and for regions.

  • Higher position. With subscriptions that include this benefit, you get priority in the order on the search page and the region pages.

  • Featured. With subscriptions that include this benefit, your presentation photo can become a clickable slide on the homepage and on the pages of your regions. Up to six profiles take turns per page.

  • After the trial. Your subscription automatically continues as a paid subscription on the same tier, and the payment term starts immediately. You can see the end date on your subscription page. If you don't pay on time, it lapses, and so do the benefits.

Referrals

Colleagues and the team

  • Messages to colleagues. Once your profile is approved, you can send a colleague a private message from their profile or by clicking their name in a channel. Your email address and mobile number stay out of sight.

  • Block. If you block a colleague, neither of you can send the other private messages until you lift the block.

  • Group channels. Join a channel, talk with colleagues, mute a channel if you don't want notifications, or leave it again.

  • News. Read news from the platform on the site. Your dashboard shows how many news items you haven't read yet.

  • Support. You have one ongoing conversation with the team, and when they reply you get an email and, if you turn those on, a push notification.

Security and account

  • Two-factor authentication. You can only use your dashboard after setting up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. You also get ten backup codes, for when you don't have your app to hand.

  • Recognisable team. Names such as “admin” and “moderator” are not allowed, and messages from the team get their own badge in channels.

  • Reporting. You can report something to the team from any profile, even without an account.

  • Password. You change your password in your account. If you've forgotten it, you get a reset link by email.

  • Emails in your own language. Choose Dutch, English, German or Spanish as your preferred language for your emails.

  • Deleting your account. You delete your account yourself. If you still have upcoming bookings, you first decline or cancel them. If a report about your profile is open, you first contact support. Data from past bookings and payments is kept in anonymised form.
